This is Good News

even if it doesn't sound like it or even feel like it...

The position that we have been holding out for is a no go. The funding did not come in as it was thought to. The President of the College spoke to us on Tuesday and let us know. His heart was heavy, I thought that was sweet. He even mentioned that he had wanted to bring us up sooner but now it is good that he didn't. There would have been no way to pay us.

Yes, my heart was hurt, and well, even crushed. I choose to believe God. I know we have been asking him to shut doors that he doesn't want us to go through. He did just that.

Our hearts have been bonded with the students at this school. God will bring the reason to pass. He knows more than we could ever imagine. We trust.

Please pray for us as we continue this journey. Pray that we would stay close to Him, and be free to hear His will and not ours.

We are looking back to remember the first dreams/visions of this ministry. After looking back we see a lot of decisions that we have made out of pure fear of failure. Clarity...that is what we need.

Just thought I would update. (There may be a sell house update soon)

I'm so sorry the funding did not come through. Do you have the Wising Up study of my mom's? You need to hear session 2. There's a part about longing that you would love.

I think you nailed it--you asked God to close doors and He has. That means He has something better than this.

We had something similar just happen. We thought we'd be partnering with some of our best friends in a new ministry. Then it just dissolved. It had been the dangling carrot in my husband's eyes that kept him motivated during this "down" time. So, we feel a little dejected but keep trying to focus on the NEW and BETTER thing. Just kinda wondering when and where it is...

Anyway, praying for you!

Hey girl. I'm so sorry it didn't work out. God definatly has a plan for you and by closing this path, He's narrowing it down to the door that will be wide open for you. We'll be praying hard for you guys. Praying that not only will God give clear direction, but that he will also comfort you in the wait. Sometimes it's the wait that defeats us but I think you are an encouragement to many. Stay strong and keep walking closely to Him. We love you guys!

When a door closes God ALWAYS has another door about to open!

I agree with Sunni. Whenever we've had that happen in our life, God always opens another door and it is always been so much better than the one he closed. It is hard to wait and to feel like you are in limbo. We have been there so many times.

haha hey, the quote in the other post you had.."live simply so others may simple live." i know this might come as a shock but...in a book i read, haha, 'Wanting More' that was the title of one of the chapters. great book, and that's all.
I'm happy that God closed a door for ya'll because that is one less door to be standing in front of and wondering. When you get a chance you should call me so we can catch up!
